I finally decided to get out the Glow Worm that Grandma and Grandpa had given Emma when they first met her. At first, Emma was a little unsure about it, but then she loved listening to the lullabies.
"Umm mom, now what is this thing?"
"Do we look alike?"
"I'm watching you."
"Don't look at me."

Roll Over
Emma is on the verge of rolling from her back to her stomach. She needs just a little assistance and then she can do it. Before long, she will be rolling all over the place.
Practicing some rolling; with enough momentum and she will get it:
Our starting position.
Almost there Emma!
Keep going Emma, you are so close!
YAY Emma! You did it!

Mini Photo Shoot With Mommy
After my cousin's wedding shower, Emma and I had a little photo shoot in the living room. Emma knows whenever the camera comes out that she needs to start hamming it up. She is so cute! I just love the wide range of facial expressions she has. It will be fun to watch her grow up, especially with the personality she already has.
These are some of my favorite pictures of Emma:

Emma's First Shower
Well some of you may be thinking that this is literally a shower, but it is actually a wedding shower for my cousin, Crystal. She is getting married in just a couple months, in October. This was the first meeting for Emma and two of my cousins, Crystal and Lori.
I wasn't sure how Emma was going to behave in a tea house, but then again I also didn't know what to expect. So it was sure to be an interesting time for the both of us. Not surprisingly, Emma did really well; getting crabby only when hungry or when she was a little unsure of those around her. Nothing that a little hug and kiss from mommy couldn't fix :)
This was the first of the many showers she will get to go to over the course of her lifetime. As a matter of fact, we will be going to a baby shower in October for another cousin of mine, Melissa. That will probably be the first time Emma meets a lot of my cousins on my mom's side of the family.
"Oh hi Crystal!"
"What are we looking at guys?"
Not really sure about the current situation.

Everyone kept telling Emma how well she matched the decor in the tea house, so they wanted to get a picture of her with the tea pot.
Emma and great Grandma Betty
This would have been a good picture if my eyes were open, but Emma's expression is worth it all!

Emma's New Toy
I knew that Emma may be a little too young to play in her new toy, but I thought it might be worth a shot. The box states for 4 month olds; well Emma is right around the corner for that. But I guess she needs to wait a few weeks because she wasn't able to sit up correctly in the seat. I think she liked looking at all of the toy attachments and can't wait to start playing with them.

Almost there.

"What is this?"
Emma isn't able to fully achieve the purpose of this toy, so we will wait a little longer when she will be able to play more with the toys.

Emma Tries Apple Juice
Over the past few days Emma has been constipated. It just breaks my heart to see her try so hard to go to the bathroom and not much comes out and it hurts her. I should have never left it up to Michael to call her pediatrician about this issue because he got things totally messed up. Well we could give Emma two ounces of water or an ounce of water and an ounce of juice. According to Michael, he thought the pediatrician said to give Emma apple, pear, and prune juice. I thought that was a weird combination, but maybe there was such a thing. We tried just the water, but she didn’t really like it. So we went to Walgreens to pick up some juice for Emma and while there I asked the pharmacist. She said it is one of the three juices, not all three combined. We bought apple juice and tried it when we got home. Emma really didn’t like it, as you can tell by her facial expressions. She would gulp down a few big sips, but then spit out most of it. From what she did get, she didn’t really care for. We need to kind of push this though, otherwise she will remain constipated and I don’t want to see her in pain while trying to go to the bathroom. We will try each day to give her these fluids. It is kind of funny, yet heart breaking, at the same time.
"Hey, this isn't so bad."
"Oh wait, yes it is! This is disgusting!"

Good Times
Michael decided that he wanted to take Emma on a "nature walk" around my parent's backyard. I told Emma that if daddy sees a spider then you will be in trouble. Because chances are he would drop you and run like a little girl. Thankfully that didn't happen on this adventure of theirs.
Emma fell asleep with her feet in the praying position. How cute!

Fun and Family
Greg and Jill came in town last night and we were able to spend some time with them. And not just a little bit of time, but the entire weekend. We went on a mini vacation to my parent's house. We had stayed the night at their house from Thursday night until now. It is always good to catch up with Greg and Jill when they are in town because I hardly talk to them when they aren't here and they don't come in town too often.
Hanging out with Papa.
Chewing on Papa's hairy arm; I can't imagine that tasting good, but maybe it felt good on Emma's gums.
"I see you."
Sleeping like a leech.
Beauty and the Beast; just kidding Michael!
