An Evening at the Park

Michael and I decided that since the weather is so nice we may as well enjoy it at the nearby park.  We know Emma loves the swings so thats where we headed.  At first, Emma was a little unsure about being on the swings for some reason, but once she remembered how much fun they were, her mood quickly changed and she was able to enjoy the swings.

Daddy and Emma walking to the swings.

Looking around before being pushed.

Looking a little scared as she was beginning to swing.

And holding on for dear life too.

Hey, what's over there!

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's Emma!

All tuckered out after swinging the evening away.

New Toy at Grandma and Grandpa's House

My Grandma and Grandpa decided to buy some baby friendly toys since my cousins and I are beginning to have babies.  This is the newest toy that Scott and Emma decided to put together and begin to get used by the kiddos.

Uncle Scott showing Emma how to put the pieces together.

Reading the directions after putting it together?  And Emma coming in to assist where she can.

Emma getting excited to actually use the new toy.

And she can't wait any longer; time for a trial run, even though Scott was still putting it together.

Checking out the two balls for the rest of the toy.

And Scott has an audience again.

Emma decided to make her own slide, on the toy box.

Lounging on Uncle Scott.

The perfect place to rest after playing with the new toy.

Or maybe this is better; loving on Uncle Scott.

Meet Duckie

For Easter, Emma received a basket full of things from Great Grandma Catherine.  She immediately fell in love with the cute little duck.  This duck goes everywhere with her.  Good thing there is another one, just in case something were to happen to this one.

Hey! Give that to me!

Emma with her little duckie.

Time to rock the duckie.

Play Ball

It's never to early to begin teaching Emma how to play baseball, especially since it's a sport both Michael and I really enjoy.  We hope that our love for baseball will also be appreciated by Emma, but of course we will let her try all kinds of things and then it's her decision whether or not she enjoys them.

Is Emma a lefty?

Daddy getting ready to toss the baseball to Emma.

And here it comes!

But Emma would rather sit and play with the bat and ball.

Or walk around swinging the bat.

Mike Entering the "Hood"

Maryville had a ceremony for those students who received awards for excellence in the business program, as well as for those students who are receiving their MBA this year.  Michael was "hooded" during this ceremony.

The stage in the auditorium at Maryville.

Emma looking a little concerned that she can't find daddy.

Then she saw him walking to his seat so she had to clap for him.

Trying to get a better view.

Isabella and Emma sharing a seat.

Emma very excited about who knows what!

Isabella and Emma looking for Michael.

Excited again!

Still clapping...

and having a good time!

There's Michael getting ready to go on stage to be hooded.

And he actually looked back at us.

Getting closer to his turn.

And it's show time... Go Michael!

Shaking hands...

then being "hooded."

Coming to the cheering section for Michael.

Daddy showing Emma some love.

The soon to be graduate.

Our happy family :)

More love for Emma, even though she doesn't look thrilled to be getting daddy kisses.

Emma making silly faces with Grandma.

Getting a bite of dessert from Grandpa.

Every last bit, even if that means licking Grandpa's finger!
