The Next Great Chef

Mommy has always had a knack for cooking and it appears that Emma is beginning to take a big interest in cooking also. Emma is not afraid to get her hands dirty and help out whenever she can. She likes to put on her pretty apron and stand on a chair next to mommy. Recently, Emma has decided that maybe she should look through the recipes to decide what she would like to cook next.

 Hmmm, let me see what looks good in here. I have my camera ready just in 

case I need to take a picture of a recipe I like.

 Nothing good on the last page. Let's see what we have over here.

 Yummy, this one looks great. It has a bunch of tasty ingredients.

 Mom, Dad, you guys should check this out. It looks awesome.

 You know she likes it when she gets the look like she is ready to pass out or fall asleep.

 No rest though for the chef, she's too busy planning her next gourmet dinner!

 But it sure is funny when daddy scratches my head with this thing.

Ok daddy, knock it off, I have some serious work to do.

 Emma looks very excited and relaxed after finally deciding on her next recipe.

She takes one more look at the ingredients and then it's off to cook something wonderful!

Smiley Mason

Mason has sure been showing his happy side lately with his many precious smiley faces. He's taking after Emma and being such a ham when the camera comes out. It's so much fun to see him be able to express himself more and that little smile can sure brighten up anyone's day!

 This little man is very curious as to what mommy is possibly doing with that camera.

 There's that big ol' smile! He gets so excited when you make a funny face or noise to him.

 Mason is now wondering, "what are you going to do next mommy?" He just looks 

like he is waiting for something else funny to happen.

 WHOAH! Mason is apparently mesmerized by what mommy is doing.

 Mason decided to stretch out during all this funny business to show 

just how big he is getting. Our little man is growing up so fast!

 He looks like he is ready to talk. He wants to have a conversation with mommy.

 Mason is showing off some of his other poses too. He likes to give 

little grins just to try to get you to smile back at him.

Uh oh, this went from Mason making funny faces to him being ready to chomp on something!

Feeding the Dogs

As babies, both Emma and Mason loved playing with the dogs' food. Recently, Emma has decided that the dogs' lives are just too stressful and they need a little pampering. Emma gets a kick out of it and the dogs sure do love it too!

Lexi licked the bowl clean and was ready for more.

 "Here Lexi, you can have one piece. Make sure you clean yourself up 

with this paper towel when you are finished."

 Uh oh, looks like Cali snuck in and got that piece of food. 

Lexi is still trying to get every last crumb out of that bowl.

 Good girls, let me get you some more.

 The delivery girl has arrived with some much needed supplies.

It turned out to be just one more piece again. At this pace, these girls will wither away!

Bumbo Seat

With Mason sitting up in the high chair for meals (for Emma) and any other activity Emma does at the table, Emma decided that she would like to sit in the bumbo seat while at the table.  In a sense, I can see her point.  It's like a booster seat, but she doesn't necessarily need one.  Again, she saw Mason sit in it one time and therefore, she thinks she needs to be using it again.  Maybe we should just keep it put away until Mason can actually utilize it.  Then at that time, maybe we can distract Emma with something else to sit in.
