Doc McEmma

Among all of the Halloween gifts and Mason's birthday gifts, Emma found one from Uncle Scott that she just couldn't wait to open.  And since some Halloween gifts had already been opened, she was allowed to open this particular one.  She opened it up and was mesmerized by it.  It was her very own dress up Doc McStuffins outfit.  While it's main intention was to be used for Halloween, I can see Emma wanting to wear this outfit many many times!  She LOVES the Doc!  Thank you Uncle Scott!  On a side note, she will obviously be going as the Doc for Halloween and Mason will be her patient, a puppy dog!  How precious!

Opening the gift from Uncle Scott.

Taking a good look at everything included.

Trying out the headband and stethoscope first.

Uncle Scott getting the rest of the costume out of the bag.

Getting a little help putting on the lab coat.

 Almost there.

There she is, Doc McEmma!  And her first patient, Lambie.

Mason was looking over the train set box.

 Silly face.

Nana helping to put all of her tools in her pocket.

It's time for Cali's check up.

 Giving her a kiss.

And a hug, and Cali is all good!

Know it's Uncle Scott's turn for a check up.

Looks like they are both enjoying this :)

Early Birthday Gifts

Since we weren't sure if we would be seeing anyone from my family before Mason's birthday, we decided to open the couple gifts my mom and dad are giving him. The one in the big box came days earlier and I had to hid it from Emma.  I think we are going to have a problem with this gift.  Emma will probably be the one who uses it much more than Mason, right now I should say.  At least, it will get used by both kids.  Happy really early birthday Mason!

Waiting till it was time to begin.

Leave it to Emma to find more Halloween gifts!

 Scott guarding the big gift.

 Mason found the orange ribbon.

And wanted to show it to Papa.

 Giving Papa a close up.

Trying to find Papa on the other side of the Ipad.

We wore Lexi out opening all of these gifts!

Emma was excited to look at the the new toy!

And she wanted to show it off to Papa too!

Here comes Mason to talk to Papa.

Or maybe to show him the new toy too.

Mason is all about climbing right now.

And sitting on top of things.

It was just a matter of time before he would attempt this.

And he did it, standing on the box!

After we all experienced a heart attack, we asked him to sit back down.

And he decided to climb down himself then.

Trying to get a taste of the next gift.

Almost there, keep tearing the wrapping paper!

Both kids checking out their new toys.

A train station and an Ernie for his birthday.

Looks like he is a happy almost one year old!

Decorating Baby And The Bike

Out of all of the Halloween gifts the kids received, the one that both of them liked the best was the black and orange ribbon from the picture frame.  They were running around playing with the string all day.  Emma watched a Dora episode where they were chasing after a string and that's what she was pretending to do.  Tonight while we cheered on the Cardinals, Emma and Mason were playing with the ribbon and baby.  Whatever keeps them occupied and playing together is fine with me!

Mason came over to see what Emma was doing.

Watch out Mason!  Here comes Emma!

Decorating with the orange ribbon firsts.

Something must have fallen in the wine glass, perhaps it was dog hair!

 Something must stink.

So many things to play with and they decide to play with the ribbon.

 Time to decorate the bike.

Where did that other ribbon go?

Taking a rest break with Nana.

Oh no! Mason is going to pick on Cali!

Getting a grip of her fur.

Posing for a quick picture with Cali.

Mason got the duck call.

Emma swiped it away, but was just doing it so she could put it around his head.

But that's not how Mason wanted to wear it.

Quack! Quack!

Placing the ribbons exactly where she wanted to put them.

Until little brother came into the picture.

Keeping an eye on her bike while Mason stood next to it and so that she could get more things to decorate her bike.

Baby got to try on Emma's new winter hat.

And even Emma's new shoes.

Mason wanted to be a part of what was going on too.

But he may have been doing more harm than good, at the time.

Nana came to the rescue to protect the bike and baby.

Mason had a peace offering, the other Dora shoe.
