Our First Images of The Little One

My first ultrasound was today and Michael and I are off to a late start. I requested that Michael make breakfast since he wasn’t going into work until after the appointment; well obviously that didn’t happen. I also wanted to get to the appointment early since my personal information had changed since my last visit; well that didn’t happen either. So already I wasn’t in a good mood, but was hoping that the doctor’s appointment was going to go better…and it did!

Getting ready to go to the appointment.

Almost time to see you!

We found out that there is only one little one in there. I’m a little saddened, yet still excited that we have one healthy baby on the way. It was so exciting to see the images on the monitor. Our little one is so tiny. I even found out my due date, and it’s close to Mother’s Day (May 10th, 2011). What a great present that would be!

There you are!

Of course there are still things we have to worry about, such as Down’s Syndrome and Cystic Fibrosis, but we won’t know until a few more weeks about the possibility of the baby having either. We have both been praying that our little one is as healthy as can be. We got a lot of our questions answered and even forgot to ask a few, but there is always next time. Michael and I will be going back every four weeks for the next couple months then it will be every two weeks and then every week till you are here!

I was so excited when we got out of the doctor’s appointment that I called my mom and told her all the news. She suggested I call Grandma and Grandpa and tell them all the news as well. Michael was so excited that he called his mom right away too. I sent a text message to Laura, Kelly, and Ashley letting them know what we found out today. I can’t wait to show them the pictures of the little one. It’s going to be fun watching me change seeing as I’m only 2 months now and have a long time to go.

Our pictures to show off the little one.

Family Day

Michael and I went to his family day at work with Mindy, Chris, Chris, Jess, Isabella, Chase, Chandler, and Ashley. We always had to be within arms reach to Michael inside the building, but outside we were able to roam around. There was a petting zoo, car show, pony rides, and so many games.

The front of the black hawk; it even has a NGA parking tag.

Some of the seats inside.

Michael's dad creeping in the bushes taking a smoke break.

After Michael's family day we met some of his family from Michigan for lunch. We were introduced and also acknowledged that we were having a baby so at this time Chandler found out. We hope to tell our families soon!

St. Louis Blues Hockey

Michael got two tickets to go to the first Blues pre-season game. We went with Mike and his friend. We decided to stay downtown after work since we would have spent the majority of time driving otherwise.

After our early dinner at Fridays.

Our view from the car.

In our really good seats.

From our seats with the ice behind us.

We were in row N; yes that's the closest I think I will ever be to the ice.

Our seats were 3 and 4.

Blues players warming up.

Zambonie.

So apparently a child with special needs started this dance during a power play and everyone followed him; now its what they do each time.

I wasn't able to get the camera out fast enough when the fight broke out the last 5 minutes on play. It was so exciting!

Hot Air Balloon Race

Michael and I joined Mindy, Chris, Jess, Isabella, Chase, and Ashley at the Forest Park hot air balloon race. We didn't make it to the booths, but that's ok because it was extremely hot outside. After the balloons landed close by us, due to no wind, we all went to Imos for dinner.

Chase keeping it real with my shades on.

Isabella on the way to the balloon races.

The start of the race, the Energizer bunny.

I love fishes cause they're so delicious, got gold fishes!

One of the many collisons.

A bad collison by the St. Louis and this balloon made him end up in the water.

Greg's school, Central Missouri State, was there.

This hot air balloon landed right where we were standing, like 5 minutes before!

This bud is for you!

There were 70 balloons in the sky!

Michael and I in front of one of the hot air balloons that landed so close to us.

Michael was acting like Ashley's fake dog was barking at people as tehy walked by. He even put in on top of the car and Isabella thought it was hilarious!

Michael still having too much fun with Fluffy Snowball.

Aerating the Yard

Mr. Vogt's truck with all the equipment Greg used to help our yard.

I didn't get the picture when it was man vs machine, the machine won! It was so funny!

I think Greg could be a farmer.

It is that time of year when the leaves are changing.

Grandparent's Day

Today is grandparent’s day so we went to Michael’s grandparent’s church for mass this morning. They were surprised to see us; Mindy and Ashley there. After mass we went over to their house for a little bit. We gave them the same card. Michael’s grandma read it first and then said ha and handed it over to his grandpa. He was a little confused at first, then got a little embarrassed. Eventually he figured it out and was really happy for us.

Chris, Jess, Isabella, and Chase came over this afternoon with a gift for us. Jess said that Isabella kept picking up everything pink because she just knew we will be having a girl. She didn’t understand the concept that we were going to be having a baby in a couple months; and well it didn’t help that Chris said I ate the baby. She also wasn’t sure about the whole this baby will be my cousin thought. Maybe in a few more months when she is a little older she will understand that our baby is her cousin. Their gift to us was a musical giraffe, something neutral since we don’t know the sex of the baby just yet.

Sharing The News

Today is my cousin’s wedding. In between the ceremony and the reception Michael and I planned on telling my grandparents and whoever else was at the house that we are expecting.

I bought a great grandparents day card since tomorrow is grandparent’s day. We weren’t sure if they were going to get it or not, but we signed it as Baby Parmeter. My Grandma read it and read it again then said really? She was really happy. Grandpa read it and then loudly stated BABY!

Aunt Betsy, Uncle Ron, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Tom and their families were there and were all very excited for us. The girls were asking how I was feeling, when the baby was due, and any baby names. Everyone was so excited. I didn’t want to take away from my cousin’s day, so I didn’t tell their family.

My mom and dad gave us two pregnancy books about what to expect when you’re expecting. Michael's mom also gave us a book about what to expect. We are already so excited about having a baby and can’t wait to tell more people.

Lexi's 1st Birthday

Look at that crazy birthday girl!

Cali taking a nap before the birthday festivities begin.

All of Lexi's birthday gifts.

Lexi looking at all her treats and new toy.

Lexi would be a fun pup to take camping; she just loves the outdoors :)

Lexi got a special treat on her birthday, a hot air balloon went by.

They loved "helping" clean up the tents.

Instead of birthday cake, the girls get to eat doggie ice cream:)

The girls ice cream, outside of the box.

Lexi devoured her ice cream in a matter of seconds.

Cali taking her time to eat the ice cream...she likes to taste her food.

Lexi was looking for more ice cream; Cali wasn't going to share either.
