People were dressing up in Halloween costumes at work on Friday, so I thought I might as well. All week I thought about making an oven out of a card board box to be a bun in the oven, but I never got around to making it. It was going to be so cute because Michael was going to be the baker. So Thursday I had to come up with something quick and easy to wear to work. I looked on the internet and found a white t-shirt with the caption in a bubble that said “I’m dressed up as my mom” (as if the baby was saying it). I took one of Michael’s old undershirts and a black sharpie to write it out. As it turns out, I wrote it way too big and it looked like my legs were talking. Needless to say, I wore it to work, but I had so many people looking at it then asking “what does your mom do?” Then I had to explain that I was expecting and they were all like “oh that’s a cute idea.” I still don’t think they understood it though.
Here is my costume:

Another Doctor's Appointment
Today is another exciting day…we get to listen to your heart beat! I was going to bring the camera to the doctor’s appointment, but I forgot it at home. Maybe next time we will be able to listen to it again and record the sound at that time.
It was really exciting because based on the fast rate, our doctor thinks you might be a girl! I’m totally excited, but your dad would have preferred a boy. He thinks that you won’t be able to play any good sports, so we will have to prove him wrong. And who is to say that when we go back for the ultrasound in six weeks that you aren’t a boy. Our doctor was just saying based on an old wives tale, a fast heart beat means a girl, but there’s still a 50/50 chance. Either way we will love you no matter what! We just wish for a healthy baby and a lifetime of happiness with all of our kids, starting with you first.
Right after the doctor’s appointment, Michael called his parents who are on vacation in Colorado to tell them the news. I called my mom, but didn’t get an answer so I called Ashley to tell her that my dream may be correct with a girl and the initials EP. I then got in touch with my mom who was also very excited and wants to go to the ultrasound appointment when we find out if it’s a boy or girl. I can’t wait to find out for sure that way we can buy more accessories for the nursery and start getting clothes and toys!

~All Our Family Knows The Great News~
We went to Trish’s house for Colin’s 13th birthday party. That was the first time we had seen his family since we found out about the baby. Trish was really excited and asked how I was feeling the past weeks. Nicki and Luke said congratulations. Aunt Nancy asked a bunch of questions while we were eating lunch. I didn’t mind her asking, and in fact she was very interested in what I had to say. We talked about baby names, feelings I was having, and what we were to expect in the months to come. It was really nice to see Michael’s family and talk to them since a lot of them have younger kids and just went through this not that long ago.
My parents have been telling me for the past couple weeks that I need to tell my Grandma Betty the exciting news. The other day Uncle Ron called and asked our family down to their house for dinner tonight. I didn’t know if I should tell everyone again or just tell Grandma Betty. I asked Uncle Ron and he suggested just telling her; as it turned out, Aunt Joan and Uncle Ron left the room and I had the chance to tell just her.
I brought the ultrasound pictures from a month ago and asked if she would like to see our newest pictures. To everyone’s surprise, she was very polite about the whole situation. She even said that I gave her someone more to live for and that she was very excited for us. We had a good conversation after dinner about a lot of things.
After Michael and I got home, I sent an email out to Aunt June and Uncle Rich, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jack, Niki, Lori, and Crystal. I figured everyone would be very excited and they were. Niki even offered if we need anything to just ask her and she may be able to help. Now I think everyone knows if both our families.

Trivia Night
Michael and I had invited our friends (Kelly, Taylor, Ashley, Jarrod, Mike, and Rachel) to trivia night at our parish. We figured we would be the youngest ones there and we were correct. I didn't have much faith in us getting a ton of points; heck I was hoping for at least 10. I thought we would buy mulligans and that's how we would get our points, but we didn't buy any. I think we all had a good time, but the boys may have had a little more fun! Can't wait to go again!
Right away our team was recognized as the team in last place, which meant we got the dum dums!
Ashley showing off the dum dums.
The boys were working hard on the sports categories.
Kelly and her boyfriend Taylor.
One of the many cheers for the night! (those boys are probably feeling it today)
Chug Chug Chug!
Jarrod was one of the finalist in heads or tails, but he didn't win :(
The guys were being a little silly. We may have scared Taylor a bit.
Michael waiting to find out who was in last place to give them the dum dums, but then we noticed it was us :(
Table 8 wasn't in last place! We projected to score 40/100, but we really got 58/100. Go us!
Michael came home from trivia and was about to pass out, until he found more booze.
Michael made a good pillow for Mike.
Things were getting a little weird.
The boys were about to crash for the night.

Diabetes Walk
First thing this morning everyone was out the door and on the way to go to the diabetes walk. We didn’t know for sure who all was going to be there from Michael's family, but we were going to tell who ever was there and then send an email to those who weren’t there.
Right when we got there, I said to Ashley “Oh do you want to see those pictures” and pulled them out from my pocket. Alex was standing there and just looked and the pictures for a second. Then she said is that yours? It was priceless because then Melissa walked over and was like “did I miss something”. She was so happy and excited that she started to tear up a little bit. It’s funny how everyone wants to know the same things right away and we don’t even know yet. This is all so new to us and we don’t know what to expect in the future.
When we got home later, we sent out the email to those who weren't at the walk. Right away we got an email back from Becky who was so excited for us; shortly after that we got an email from Trish who said we will make great parents. I also sent Nancy a facebook message since I didn’t know her email address. She replied that she was excited and would be praying for us. I’m anxious to keep checking my emails for more to reply as well as on facebook to see who else comments.

Still Sharing The News
Today there is a lot going on; it’s my parent’s wedding anniversary and we are going to Uncle Ron’s for a family gathering. We planned on telling my dad’s side of the family at this time, but we wanted to wait for the right opportunity. And then it happened. Right after everyone got to the house, Aunt Joan wanted to make a couple toasts. This is how the toasts went. First she said to Roger for the loss of his dad, my dad for passing the big test, my parents wedding anniversary, and our family friend, John, birthday. After that one, I asked is there any more. Aunt Joan said no so I said that I would like to make a toast to our little baby Parmeter. It was a total surprise to all of them. We got lots of hugs and congrats!
During dinner Michael and I talked to Aunt Joan about all of our random thoughts from the doctor’s appointment to baby names. More and more of our family is finding out and it’s so exciting!
