Today is another exciting day…we get to listen to your heart beat! I was going to bring the camera to the doctor’s appointment, but I forgot it at home. Maybe next time we will be able to listen to it again and record the sound at that time.
It was really exciting because based on the fast rate, our doctor thinks you might be a girl! I’m totally excited, but your dad would have preferred a boy. He thinks that you won’t be able to play any good sports, so we will have to prove him wrong. And who is to say that when we go back for the ultrasound in six weeks that you aren’t a boy. Our doctor was just saying based on an old wives tale, a fast heart beat means a girl, but there’s still a 50/50 chance. Either way we will love you no matter what! We just wish for a healthy baby and a lifetime of happiness with all of our kids, starting with you first.
Right after the doctor’s appointment, Michael called his parents who are on vacation in Colorado to tell them the news. I called my mom, but didn’t get an answer so I called Ashley to tell her that my dream may be correct with a girl and the initials EP. I then got in touch with my mom who was also very excited and wants to go to the ultrasound appointment when we find out if it’s a boy or girl. I can’t wait to find out for sure that way we can buy more accessories for the nursery and start getting clothes and toys!
