Michael and I went to register at Babies R Us this afternoon. We had no idea it was going to take as long as it did. We had some ideas of the items we were wanting to get, but then had no clue on some things. It was a good thing we had printed off my cousin's registry so we had some clue as to what to put on there. It was an exciting time for Michael and I because we are one step closer to meeting our daughter!
Michael patiently waiting to get started.
Michael couldn't believe this was the cover of the box; a woman on the laptop pumping milk.
We finally completed it! It only took about 3 hours!

Story Time
Dad decided to read two Dr. Seuss books to us (me, little one, and the girls) to get some practice before our daughter is born. Unfortunately, Lexi made it through part of the first story, then Cali and I fell asleep during the last part. I guess if he can put us to sleep, he will hopefully be able to put our little one to sleep.

Rams Game
Michael and I gave his dad Rams tickets for his birthday. Michael's cousin, Zach, also went with us to the game. It was also fan appreciation day so the soda and hot dogs were half price. It was a long hike to our seats, but once we were there it was amazing! The people inside the dome were screaming so loud knowing there was the chance of the playoffs in sight. What a great game we saw!

Christmas At Our House
Michael and I had his mom's side of the family over for Christmas. Also at this time, we were going to have a going away party for his cousin who is joining the Marines. We decided to take a little nap, but we were so tired that we continued to sleep past our alarm. Then it was a scramble to get things together before his family over. Michael’s parents came over a little earlier to open gifts, but there was other things that needed to get done so we ended up opening gifts while the rest of the family was here. Michael's aunt also came over a little earlier to set up the dining room for the Marine party.
Michael wanted to tell the remaining family members that we are having a girl by having them go upstairs to the nursery. We placed all her clothes, toys, and blankets out on the dresser. It was quite obvious it was a girl; and almost everyone said "we knew it!"
Michael and I are really excited for our daughter to meet us and the rest of the family. We can't wait for all the adventures we will go through during our lives with her. Christmas is going to be so much fun next year!

Another Doctor Appointment
Today I had another doctor’s appointment; it was just a check up to make sure things are going well. I called before I went to pick up Michael from work and they said the doctor was running about 10 minutes late. I still hurried to get Michael because I don’t want to be late and as it turned out we could have been really late and it would have been fine. When I got there, the receptionist asked my name and apparently they didn’t pull my chart. Not only that, I wasn’t even on the schedule for that day or time. Somehow, someone had deleted my appointment; however, I have a card with the date and time on it so I showed her. We were able to see the doctor, it just ended up being like 45 minutes later. While we were with the doctor, she discussed the ultrasound I had done the Friday before. All of the measurements, fluid levels, and images looked great. Actually, my doctor said everything looked perfect! Just a few more months and we will get to meet her :)

Christmas At My Parents
Michael and I took the girls over to my parent's house for our early Christmas. Greg and Jill won't be joining us Christmas day so we celebrated a little early. We were just to open our stockings; however, we ended up opening all of our presents. Here are some of our daughter's presents:
Some stuffed animals to go in her room.
Winnie the Pooh book to go with all those stuffed animals.
The softest baby blanket; she is going to love it.
Some baby books.
An outfit.

More Shopping!
Michael and I went to Gymboree for the first time to look at their selection of clothing. Their new spring clothing line came out and most of the clothes were on sale. We even found some clothes marked down in clearance.
Her giraffe jumper and headband.
The cutest swimsuit ever!
Another cute top.
Another outfit she has to show how much her daddy already loves her!

Christmas At The Fiehlers
Every year we get together at my grandparent's house the week before Christmas so that we can go to other family functions on Christmas day. Since Michael and I just found out the sex of the baby yesterday, we decided to tell those that were at my grandparent's house. Everyone was really excited and can't wait to meet her.
Two outfits Aunt Kathy gave our little one.
The envelope that Grandma and Grandpa filled with starter money for our daughter.
The piggy bank for her money to go in.
Another doll; this girl is going to be spoiled rotten.

Time To SHOP!
After Michael and I found out the sex of our baby, we decided to go to Babies R Us to begin looking at all the GIRL things. We were so excited that we wanted to buy almost everything we saw, but we knew we have to wait to see how big she is when she is born. We are planning to register after the holidays settle down.
Here are some of our findings from our first shopping trip:
Michael was exhausted after looking at just about everything girly in the store.

IT'S A GIRL!!!
Dad patiently waiting for our appointment. He was so nervous before the appointment that he almost threw up in the bathroom; he was really worried something was going to be wrong with the baby, but oh what a relief he got at the end!
Just Michael and I went back first so we could hear if everything was going okay with our baby, then we went to get our moms for them to find out.
We were in the room for a long time with our moms just patiently waiting in the waiting area. They were wondering what was taking so long and if everything was okay. The ultrasound tech said that there is a long list of measurements and areas that she needed to look at for the doctor and that’s what takes some time. We also had a little one who wasn’t cooperating with us at first. The most exciting parts were being able to see 10 fingers and 10 toes, the profile picture, and then of course finding out you are a GIRL!!!!
I was so excited when I heard! Actually when I went into the bathroom when the ultrasound was finished I was saying “YES YES YES!!!!”
Once we found out everything was okay and the sex, Michael went to get our moms for another showing of our little one, who we now can call our daughter. They were looking at all the images, asking questions about what things were, and then the time came when the ultrasound tech said the explanation for the gender. They both were so excited and they said they knew all along based on the fast heart beat that it was going to be a girl!

Chris' Surprise 50th Birthday Party
After planning for a month or so, I think we pulled off the surprise birthday party for Michael's dad. I think he was really surprised! Unfortunately, Michael's grandpa and uncle were unable to make it today due to other circumstances, but they were here with us in spirit. All the food turned out great and everyone had a good time celebrating with us. Thanks to everyone who helped make things go so smoothly!
The guys on look out for Chris.
Addie got my picture, but I got her back.
All of the family and friends waiting for Chris to walk in the house.
Still peaking through the blinds.
Like father like daughter; too bad Lexi didn't know what she was looking for until he walked in the house.
Chris came into the house on his phone saying, "I don't think we are baking cookies."
Chris using Jake's gift of the cane and bell; it was a hit for the night.
Some of the desserts.
Addie sneaking in a lick.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Chris Happy Birthday to you!
He surprised us all by helping pick up after dinner and dessert.
The best gift of the night, a toilet/cooler to use while fishing.
Some of the guys, kind of watching Chris open gifts.
Opening some presents.
