After we realized that Emma didn't like the fact that we cut open her pumpkin, we quickly decided to do something else. We knew that Emma liked to paint the mini pumpkins so we let her paint a few while Michael continued to carve the other pumpkin.
I don't know if Emma didn't like the pumpkin carving because we were using her pumpkin or if she didn't like the feeling of the inside of the pumpkin, all the pumpkin guts! Maybe next year Emma will have more of an interest in carving the pumpkin or else we may be stuck with another one of Michael's creations.
All ready to paint more mini pumpkins.
A quick break to look for toe jam!
Emma decided she wanted to paint the pumpkin blue.
Checking out what Daddy is doing with the other pumpkin.
All done with the blue.
Oh no, some blue paint got on my finger!
Busy back at work.
And what's the big deal about painting fingers;
it comes off in the bath, right?
Oh no, how did I manage to get it on my foot?
It's a good thing Mommy took off Emma's clothes
before painting the pumpkin.
Deep in concentration.
