My Young (and pantless at times) Baker

With Michael starting his new job today in DC, we thought it would be a good idea to make some brownies!  Not for him to take with him to work, but rather for us to enjoy!  I'm so glad we have the learning tower, which makes it easier for Emma to watch and help make all kinds of foods.  While Emma is still too little to really help with baking or cooking, she does enjoy just mixing up the food and then of course sampling it too!  And this little girl will never pass up a sweet!
She has such a sweet tooth, much like her Mommy!

We were finished mixing the batter and ready to clean out the bowl, but not before Emma got a hold of it:

Just getting a little off of the spatula.

And some off of her finger too!

Going to clean up with a paper towel.

Just kidding, time to lick every last bit of batter off!

Or end up wearing it all over her face.

Oh no!  It's all gone!

Wash it off with a little milk.  Yummy!

We need more of this!

Oh no, what happened to your pants?

Nothing like a little Elmo juice to top it off!

Our little guy slept through the whole thing and he is too little to enjoy what we made,
so he will have to wait till he is older to enjoy the sweets and whatever else we make!

Breakfast Of Champs

With Mason asleep in his pack n play, I had a chance to enjoy breakfast with just my little girl.  I went through a list of options for what she could possibly eat; you know like cereal, pancakes, waffles, cheesy eggs, but no where in my list did I include what Emma wanted.  Emma knows what she wants and will show/tell me what exactly it is she wants if I don't understand.  So after I rambled off the breakfast options, she kept saying 'no, I need something else.'  What did Emma need?  Yep, she wanted to eat some yogurt and Oreos!  At least she threw in something healthy, the yogurt!  She takes after her Daddy when it comes to not eating breakfast foods at breakfast time.

 Mason fast asleep.

Dipping the Oreos in the yogurt.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what to think about this mixture.

 I like it!

Keeping a little extra for later!

Mason woke up and it was time to put his shoes and socks on
(we weren't going anywhere, but Emma felt like he needed them).

A New Bedtime Routine

There has been so many changes in our lives these past couple weeks so it is no wonder that we are having a hard time getting onto a bedtime routine that Emma will follow.  After spending a few nights at my parents house before the move, then moving to our new house and having my family stay here, getting used to a little baby waking up at night, we are finally getting onto something that is working out.  So the only way that Emma will go to bed, is that we let her watch a show before bed.  She will lay in our bed for however long a show is on before at some point finally giving in and crashing!  Then whenever we go to bed at night, we will move her back into her bed.  Whatever it takes  to get her to sleep is my thought!  Lets just hope that she will keep on a good routine!

Being silly on the stairs.

Then a tickle attack from Daddy.

 Finding comfort in Lexi.

 Hey Lexi, sniff my finger!

 Being silly with Lexi.

Mason all wrapped up in his blanket.

Wanting so badly to wake him up.

Oh no, I think she did!
