Being out of state now means that we don't always get to watch the Cardinals games; however, Michael was given a MLB subscription so we were able to watch it when we could. But with the Cardinals being in the playoffs that meant we would be able to watch many more games! Sometimes the games are scheduled at random times, well since we are in a different time zone. But I know for a fact Michael will be up at all hours of the night just to watch his Cardinals. He is such a die hard Cardinals fan!
With today being the first day for the playoffs and Michael off work due to the shutdown, we have planned a night at the ballpark all from the comfort of our home in Virginia. While both kids were napping, we set up our little area and began to prepare some ballpark style foods (nachos, popcorn, hot dogs, peanuts). When the kids woke up, we quickly got dressed in our Cardinals gear and prepared to cheer on the Red Birds!
Even though the kids didn't sit still to watch much of the game, Emma thought it was pretty neat being able to eat these foods in the living room and cheer on the Cardinals at the same time. She was so funny dancing around, singing, doing the wave, and playing with Mason. After the game, the kids decided to climb all over Michael and even wrestle a little bit with him. That got the girls all excited and they began to play too. Everyone was in a good mood since the Cardinals won!
