What an interesting evening and morning we had; so much excitement and sadness all at the same time. My friends, Kelly and Alison, and I decided not to stay at our house because it was so unbelievably hot in there and instead went to the hotel where Kelly had a room. Then around 12:30 AM, my dad called to tell me that Laura, the maid of honor, was being admitted to St. Luke's hospital. I couldn't get ahold of her for hours and when I finally did it was real early in the morning. The doctors found multiple blood clots in her leg and some in her lungs. Very lucky girl to be at the hospital at that time, even though we all know how much she has been waiting for this day. I went to the hospital to visit her around 7:00 AM and Michael went around 8:00 AM. I didn't want to leave her, but knew that I needed to get back to the hotel room to start getting ready for the ceremony.
