Debby's Surprise Birthday Party

After all the excitement at the pumpkin patch, Emma was able to get a little nap in the car on the way over to Aunt Debby's surprise 50th birthday party.  We missed the initial surprise, but we were still glad we could celebrate this special day with her!

Happy 50th Birthday Aunt Debby!
We love you and wish you many more birthdays to come!

Then over there.

Don't know what to even say about this picture.

Emma climbing through the tunnel at the park.

Almost all the way through.

And she made it!

Ready to go down the slide.

Making her way back up the playground to slide again, and again, and again!

She wouldn't look at me anymore for pictures!

But I snuck around to the other side to capture a picture of her!

Tuesday's turn to go through the tunnel.

And she made it all the way through.

Watch out for these girls!

She might be a little concerned with Emma's driving.

Exploring The Park?

After spending some time at the pumpkin patch, we thought we may as well enjoy a little more time outside (before the weather begins to get cool).  And what better way to do that then go to the park in Cottleville.  It's a great park for kids of all ages, with lots of things for kids to do.  I'm glad it's so close to our house because we can come frequently.

Recently Emma has just liked going on the swings, but today we decided to take her to explore more of the playground.  And not shocking, she liked the rest of the playground, but when we asked what she wanted to do, she would respond with 'swing'.

Daddy just got Emma all ready to swing!

Just relaxing before swinging.

Emma going high in the sky.

All smiles as she came down.

One more time!

Weeee!

Umm, Daddy too high?  Where's Emma?

Both of them are keeping an eye on the park,
one this way and the other that way.

Two happy park goers.

Emma exploring more of the playground.

And she made it to the top.

One more time, this time without Daddy's help.

Almost to the top.

Just one more time!

Daddy showing Emma again how to do it.

Time to slide!

Weee!

Getting off the slide and I'm sure thinking 'one more time'.

Again Daddy helped her to the slide.

Pointing to where she wants to go next.

Relaxed.

Or maybe getting tired.

One more time to swing though, even if Emma is tired.

Theiss Farm Pumpkin Patch

At this time of the year, we are so lucky to have so many pumpkin patches around us.  It doesn't cost a thing to get into, you can walk around the farm, and see all kinds of animals, so why wouldn't you want to go.  In fact, we try to go to as many as possible.  It not only gets us out of the house on the weekends, but we are doing something together as a family.  We are creating a wide variety of memories for Emma.  She may not understand what is really going on now, but if we keep up these traditions, maybe at a later age she will truly understand and appreciate what were doing for her.

Emma doesn't look too thrilled to be there.

But then she say some animals.

A closer look at the animals.

And looking at the goat.

Hey, who is that animal in there?

Emma is like her Grandpa and will meet a new friend anywhere.

Eww!  What's that smell.

Next to see, the piggies.

Here piggy piggy piggy!
