Happy 16th Birthday Chandler!

There was a little mess with Chandler's birthday party. Once things were all straightened out, we celebrated his special day at Aunt Mary and Uncle Don's house. That was nice for us because it is just a short drive down the road. This was the first time Aunt Mary and Uncle Don got to meet Emma. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera out while they were getting acquainted. It would have been nice to have, especially since Emma left a part of her with Uncle Don; she spit up all over his shirt shortly after he held her. We weren't able to spend much time at the party since we had another stop to make. And we hardly even saw Chandler, but that's okay because he was busy with his friends. Now we need to watch out for another new driver on the road. It's a good thing he is moving to Colorado soon. Just kidding! I'm sure Chandler is a good driver.

Playtime with Mommy and Daddy

What a pretty girl.

Peek - a - boo Emma.

"I know that is you talking mommy; you are so silly."

"Umm Mom, is Dad supposed to be sleeping?"

Kick your feet, kick kick. Kick your feet, kick kick. Kick your feet, kick your feet, kick your feet.

Teasing daddy with her feet.

"Jaws got my foot; no wait, that's daddy!"

"Why hello foot!"

"Oh wait, there's my toy!"

"Umm dad, next time you stick your finger in my mouth, please wash your hands first!"

Kisses from daddy.

More Fun With The Bumbo Seat

"Are you serious, mom?"

Thinking about playing in the bumbo seat.

"That's what I'm looking for!"

Classic move: sitting on the dog's cage.

Just relaxing and chewing on my hand.

"Not so much fun now!"

Stare down with baby monkey; who will blink first?

"Sorry baby monkey, but I found the tv."

First time we added the tray to the bumbo seat. Emma realizing that she doesn't have to hold all of her toys now.

"What are you looking at?"

New Pose

While Emma was eating her bottle tonight, she repeatedly put her hand in this position. It was too cute! I'm not sure if that's where her hand landed or if she was trying to tell us that she had a headache and we were being too loud. And now, she occasionally will put her hand there. It still makes me smile every time she does it.

Walk Along The Highway

Yes that is correct; we walked along Highway K! Since the Cardinals won last night and scored more than 6 runs, Michael and I decided we would go on a walk to the gas station up the road for some cheap drinks. Unfortunately, while we were walking, we realized that the side walks don't go all the way from our house to the gas station. So we were, in a sense, playing chicken with the passing cars. No really, we were safe, especially since we had a very special package with us, good ole Emma. Maybe we will re-think walking to the gas station next time.

Daddy is ready to go.

And so is Emma.

And she is out.

Tiny feet.

Daddy's Little Girl

I just love to see how excited Emma gets when daddy talks to her. She is very expressive, with a wide range of expressions. And I love each and every one of them. It is funny to listen to Michael talking to Emma, asking her if she wants to have a conversation. Then Michael begins to speak to her and Emma listens (or so it seems). Because after each question or statement, Emma will respond back to him. Pretty soon Emma will be speaking to us and we may be wishing she was back at this age.

Up close and personal.

SO HAPPY!

"Look dad, no hands!"

Teether

This afternoon Michael and I decided to get out the teether. Emma has been drooling so much lately, that we think she may be getting some teeth. I felt in her mouth and where the middle bottom two teeth should be, it is a little rough, as well as the top right. This may take awhile before she actually gets any teeth, but at least she may get some relief chewing on the teether.

Mommy and Emma watching tv; one of our favorite past times.

"This thing isn't so bad."

"Oh wait, it's a little different feeling."
