Emma and I began our adventure to Charleston for a wedding shower for a dear friend of mine, Kelly. We wanted to be apart of her shower day and we can't wait till the most important day of her life, the day she marries her best friend Taylor.
It was very early in the morning and I really wasn't sure how Emma was going to be for such a long car ride. When I left this morning, I allowed more time for myself in case we had situations like this. We made it to Perryville before we needed to stop. At this point, Emma woke up and she was hungry so we stopped at McDonald's. We ended up being at McDonald's for about an hour! Emma is such a nosey person that she had to watch all the people around us. After her breakfast, it was back in the car for another nap before getting to the historic house for the shower.
Emma did really well with all the ladies wanting to hold her and talk to her. She had to show off a little by walking around (holding onto mommy's hands of course). And then it hit! She was a total grouch! Nothing was seeming to calm her down; she was just very tired and needed to take another nap, but didn't want to give in. As soon as we said our goodbyes and got loaded up in the car, Emma was out when I turned onto the main road. She slept the majority of the way home (waking up only when I had to stop at Oberle's and to get gas). She was resting up because she knew what was coming later tonight...our second annual baking cookies!
The beautiul Christmas tree.

One of the ladies was very creative and tied each of the utensils onto the ribbon so Kelly would have to break them (adding to the number of kids they will have).
