Today we got up and went to church, where we barely made it before the start of the service. It seems to be a familiar pattern these days. After church, we went home to spend some time with the girls before heading over to Zach’s house for a BBQ and to celebrate Ashley’s birthday. We were the first to arrive there and we got to meet Zach’s girlfriend Sara. Everyone wanted to hold Emma so she didn’t have time to visit with her friend, Tu Tu. One day when they get older they are going to be best of friends. The BBQ was going good until a bad storm moved in. At that time, Michael and I decided that we weren’t going to go to Soulard for Ashley’s birthday dinner. The dogs would be freaking out with the storm and fireworks going off so we headed home.
Spending quality time with Aunt Debby and Caden before the rest of the family showed up.

Michael and I put Emma to sleep and we stood on the deck watching the fireworks with the baby monitor next to us. Emma slept through it all and never once budged or whined. She is such a good baby!
The pictures of the fireworks didn't really come out clear.
Emma sleeping through the fireworks; maybe next year she will enjoy them.
