Happy 4th of July!

We had a laid back morning, but then around lunch time things just got super busy. We were quickly trying to pack things together so we could take Emma and the girls over to my parent’s house for the night while Michael and I went to the Cardinals game. We were going to take Emma to the game, her first Cardinals game, but it ended up hotter than forecasted.

Mommy spending some last minute quality time with Em before we left her for the rest of the day and night. Love you Em!

We rushed downtown to see some of the air show. We ended up getting a hotel room at the Hyatt downtown. We were able to see the arch and the air show from our hotel room; we didn’t even have to sit in the heat so it was perfect! It turned out nice because our tickets were all inclusive so we got our fair share of food and beer. While we were at the game, there were a couple families with little kids. They just looked miserable trying to keep the kids cool. I'm glad we didn't bring Emma, but I would love to take her to a game when it's a little cooler or even next year when she might enjoy it more. Then when the game was over we were able to go back to our room to see the fireworks.

Look at all those people, miserable in the heat.
