It was a lazy morning for us, which no one was complaining about. We all slept in till about 9:00 AM; something that usually doesn’t happen too often. The three of us laid on the couch and watched Netflix all day. This evening we are getting together with Michael’s parents, grandparents, brother and his family, and cousins Ashley and Jarrod and Zach to celebrate Michael’s birthday. We are doing this a little earlier than his birthday since he will be having some family from Michigan coming into town around his birthday.
Before we went to dinner, Michael and I decided to go to JCPenney to use our coupons. We walked about the store for 45 minutes trying to figure out something to get since Michael didn’t want to get anything for his birthday. As it turns out, we got two plastic cups for both of us to take to work and Michael got a Mizzou t-shirt. When we went to check out, we were only able to use one coupon. So we wasted all this time trying to find something to reach the dollar amount, only to find out we didn’t need to get one thing.
We headed over to the restaurant, 54th Street Bar and Grill, where the wait was 50 to 60 minutes since we had such a large amount of people. The time seemed to go by quickly and thankfully Emma just slept the majority of the dinner. When we were all finished with dinner, Michael had asked his cousins if they wanted to come to our house to play cards. Michael, Jake, and Zach were playing a card game that me, Ashley, and Jarrod didn’t care to play. So we were watching Emma as she was making all kinds of faces. Eventually the guys let us all play a game, well except for Emma. She was sleeping upstairs. That didn’t last very long so Michael went to get her. And at that time, most everyone was getting tired so we called it a night. It seemed so early and that made me feel like an old lady, but we were exhausted.

Daddy's yummy dessert, well so I was told; maybe next year I'll get a bite.
Happy Birthday a few days early to the best guy in the world, my daddy!
