Michael took off work today to be able to help me after I have my procedure done. We didn’t know what to expect so better to be more prepared than not ready at all. As it turned out I would have been okay on my own, but it’s comforting knowing that Michael cares a lot about me.
Also since he was off work, we wanted to take Emma into the pediatrician’s office to get her shot that she should have gotten at her last visit but it was too early. When the time came, I had to hold her arms down while the nurse quickly gave her the shot in her left leg. Oh it about broke my heart hearing Emma scream and cry. Her little face turned bright red and nothing that we did would comfort her. The nurse said we could spend as long as we needed in the room, which ended up being about 15 minutes and even then she wasn’t calmed down. I just didn’t want to take up the room since we didn’t even really have an appointment and there may have been others needing to use the room. So we walked into the hallway to try to get her calm and then she was fine once she was in the car seat. Well that didn’t last long though because she kept fussing throughout the rest of the afternoon/evening. All she wanted was to be held and fed her bottle. Poor little lady! Unfortunately, she will have to get more shots over the next few months and years.
Emma got a bath.
