Play-Doh Outside

We have certainly had some interesting weather lately, cool then warm then back to cool.  Today was a warm day so I decided to take the kids outside on the deck to play with play-doh.  Now that Mason is up walking around, I need to come up with a way to keep him caged in and not to play on the steps.  It's hard for him to understand that he is still little and can't do all of the things Emma is doing, even though he may want to.  We enjoyed listening to music while we played with the play-doh, built towers with the containers, ate a snack, and watched the girls play in the yard.  It reminds me of summer time!

Playing with all of the cookie cutters.

 Praciticing using the scissors.

 Oh, I found one!

Did you want this one?

Oh man, you did want that one!

Lots of fun playing with a box.

Back practicing using the scissors.

 Mason was watching and learning.

So you mean I can't eat this?!?

 Okay then, how about this?

Showing Mason all of the things on the box.

Being silly, acting like it was food to eat.

Don't knock over my container tower...

 Oh no, what happened?!?

Dancing to the 'hot dog' dance.

Mason wanted to join in too.

The girls relaxing in the yard.

Looking down at his sister.

Michael would have a heart attack if he knew she was doing this.

 Cali

Lexi

 Snack time, Cheetos for Emma

 And cheese cornies for Mason.

Probably feels good on his teeth coming in.

 Stare down between the kids.

Lexi was sun bathing.

Cali was keeping an eye for a crumb to drop.

We love being outside.

Heading Home

We have spent just about the entire day at the park and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!  Everything was great, from the weather to the activities we did and everything in between there.  We will definitely have to remember this park and come back here again sometime this fall, if the weather cooperates, or wait till it starts to warm up next spring.   I think we all had a really good day at the park!

 Walking back to the car.

Catching a ride back is much more fun!

Had to stop to feed a fussy Mason.

Emma decided that she wanted to feed him.

She loved it and so did Mason.

Entertaining Mason with songs while he eats.

Emma fell asleep with her snack and drink in hand.

Michael quickly fell asleep on the way home.

Worn out from a fun day of playing.

Yes, he was in that deep of a sleep on the short drive home!

 Mason was out too!

Don't know how they were able to sleep with the sun shining right on them.

We Found The Playgrounds

Having not been to this park before and not having a map of where everything is, made it really difficult for us to find the playgrounds.  When we first arrived at the park, we drove through the entire thing, but really didn't take note of where the playgrounds were.  So it was a nice day and we thought, what the heck, let's just start walking and see where it takes us.  Thankfully, my sense of direction was present so we were able to get to the playgrounds relatively easy, but had we gone with Michael's directions, we could still be wandering around the woods.

At the first playground, Mason slept through most of it.  But it gave Emma plenty of one on one time with each of us.  Emma loves to climb and explore new things. Sometimes, Emma gets a little intimidated by the other kids, especially if they are older and bigger than she is.  While we were at this playground, Emma had a little accident with another little girl.  Emma was trying to step off of the step to get out of the way of another child and knocked over a smaller little girl who was right behind her.  Both children were okay, but more or less just scared of falling on a step.  Emma was very concerned about the other child and making sure she was okay, but when we went to ask her how she was feeling, the other family had already left.  Emma is such a loving and nuturing person.

Mason fell asleep on the way to the playground.

 Climbing down the rock wall.

 Learning sign language.

 Being silly in the tunnel.

 Michael creepishly watching the playground.

Riding on an old school toy.

When he woke up, he was a happy guy!

 Our home state.

Hey, what's going on down there?

 Such a serious look.

Look who is coming through the tunnel.

 Such a beautiful little lady.

 Oh no! Here comes Mason!

Excited to see him on a big kid playground.

 Looking into the tunnel.

So happy to be able to play with his sister.

 Emma, where did you go?

 Oh, here she comes!

 Kneeling in the tunnel.

Playing in the tunnel like a big boy.

So happy to be playing with each other.

 Lounging inside the tunnel.

 Michael creeping again.

 Stinky feet!

 Love this girl!

 What a big boy!

 Love him!

Trying to look at Mason in the tunnel.

 Peeking at Mason.

Mason thought that was hilarious, seeing his sister peek through at him.

Giving hugs, such good kids!
