I had seen on the internet people tape sayings onto paper and then the child will paint everywhere on the paper and when you remove the taped images there will be the image. So I thought I would give it a try, but I didn't have the write tape so I used ribbon. After spending about 30 minutes to cut and tape the letters, Emma began to paint the "happy anniversary' saying. She painted for just a few minutes before removing the letters from the paper. So much for that idea! Oh well, at least my parents will see her artwork in its natural state. And we have no time for a redo since it takes so long to send anything in the mail.
Happy Anniversary to my mom and dad!
Mason snooping around the hutch.
Last day of checking on the silly dinosaur; I don't think he is going to grow anymore.
The letters are in place, now for Emma to paint everywhere.
Here she goes!
She did a good job getting a little paint on each letter.
Not exactly how I thought it would turn out, but that's okay.
