Apparently, last night when we were discussing our plans no one paid attention to what we were saying. As a result, this morning there was much confusion as we were packing up our stuff to head to the beach with the rest of the family ready to go out to breakfast. We had told them to keep with their plan of going to breakfast and when they were finished they could join us at the beach. So we were off, just our family. And it was nice to have that alone time with our kids and being able to watch them play in the sand and water, as if it were their first time at the beach. It was a much better experience this time than last.
Mason looking around as we get our things all settled into the beach tent.
Checking out the water.
Sitting patiently as we are almost ready to play play play!
But not until after another one of Emma's performances.
Daddy going to check on the water temp...still pretty chilly.
We decided to set up our toys close to the water this time.
Emma brought some water to Mason.
Careful not to spill.
Oh no! Sand going in Mason's hair!
Here comes the water!
And he didn't mind it; he was actually interested in it coming up and down.
Playing at the beach!
Yay! Mason likes the beach too!
Emma screaming 'Go Daddy, Go Daddy, Go' as he went to get more water in her bucket.
Thanks Daddy!
Mason had a mouthful of sand.
Emma taking the shovel away from Mason.
Then rinsing off the sand.
Mason was entertained with all the sand everywhere!
Still cleaning off the shovel.
Run Emma! Here comes the waves!
Yay for Emma!
Screaming at Daddy again.
Glad my kids love the beach :)
My beautiful little girl
My handsome little man
Some attempts at a family picture.
Tried just to get one with Daddy and the kids and this was the best one I got.
Snacking in the beach tent.
Placing her towel down for her to sit on.
Emma's ready now.
We wear our sunglasses at the beach!
My love and I with our legs out of the beach tent.
Snacking on some crackers.
Okay now Emma is ready to go, upside down sunglasses and Mason's hat!
