A Fort Built For A Princess

After the kids explored our room, which was pretty much the same as the other one just a little bigger, we got their pajamas on and were starting to unwind.  Until Daddy had a brilliant idea of making a fort that we could sleep in!  While Mason was finishing his bottle, Emma and I began to make our foundation for the fort (open and make the sofa bed). After Mason heard the noise over there, he stopped eating and wanted to help.  Daddy came over with the chairs and was beginning to construct this fort built for a princess!  While it only lasted a few minutes, it was still fun to let the kids play late into the evening, especially since its vacation!  Time for bed as we have a busy day ahead of us...the swimming pool!

 Emma climbed through the fort.

 Crawling inside the fort.

 Look guys, Baby came too!

Turning off the lights so we can really see with the lantern.

 Climbing back in.

 Where is Emma?

 Peek-a-boo, I see you!

 The aftermath.

Emma ended up falling asleep on the couch watching a show.

Our Room Is Ready!

After waiting a little bit for the second room to be ready, we finished dinner and let the kids play a bit.  But as the late hours were approaching, Michael and I decided to take the kids to the other room to let them explore before winding down for bedtime.  It will be an all new and exciting place again!  But we didn't want the kiddos to have a rough night in an unfamiliar place with the rest of our family.  So we gathered our belongings and headed back to the other room.

Turning the lantern on so Emma and I could walk back.

Mesmerized by the light.

Oh no!  Here comes two crazy drivers!

Exploring The Resort Grounds

Shortly after getting settled into the room and while we waited to get into the other room, we wanted to explore the rest of the resort grounds.   Unfortunately, the first thing we saw was a swing and the kiddos could have spent the rest of the time there.  But we wanted to walk around the pond and check out the swimming pool.  While walking around the pond, we noticed there were turtle heads poking up everywhere.  The turtle heads were kind of hard for Emma to see, and even their whole bodies were hard to see with the discolored water and the way the light hit the water.  Maybe the next time we will see them better!

 Swinging with Mindy.

 Baby's turn to swing.

Emma putting the break on the stroller; she is such a great helper!

All Checked In

We got back to the resort and guess what, the second room, which was the room we were staying in, wasn't ready!  So we all headed over to the other room, where we unloaded their stuff and Catherine could prop her leg up.  Then it was time for the kiddos to explore this new place. The room was supposed to have been 'cleaned', but it still looked like little critters were all over the floor.  Guess they didn't resolve that bug problem that I had seen from the reviews of this place.  Oh well, they were dead, just hope Mason doesn't try to eat any of them!  Finally, no more getting in and out of the car or sitting in there.  Hope our room is ready soon so we can unwind in there!

 Playing keep away from Mason.

Confused that he can look through the glass table.

An attempt for Mason to wear the brock umbrella...fail!

 My turn.

Emma was catering to Catherine's needs.

Emma was singing Barney's "I Love You" song to Mason.

Following in my footsteps with taking lots of pictures!
