Michael had heard from some co-workers that traffic heading south during the holidays can be terrible and to leave with plenty of time, unless you want to take a nine hour car ride instead of a four hour ride. Knowing that, we wanted to leave with plenty of time so that we could minimize the amount of time in the car and thus kids freaking out. So we had the cars packed for the most part last night and some of us got just about four hours of sleep before hitting the road at 4:00 AM. Our vacation has begun, but first we need to stop at a gas station right outside the neighborhood.
Mason was still sleepy and so confused about getting in the car so early.
Emma was a little upset that she was woke up to get in the car.
And we were ready to get the heck out of here!
