New Pool Toy

Earlier in the day when we were outside for our neighborhood walk, the sun sure did beam down on us and even made us sweat a little.  When Michael got home from work, we decided we should try to enjoy what is left of the summer, especially since the forecast doesn't look like it is going to warm up anytime soon.  And what better way to do that then head to the pool!  We quickly got in our swimming suits and we were off.

When we arrived, it was break time so we decided to blow up one of Emma's birthday gifts from her party, a beach ball.  We had it ready to go for when it was time to resume swimming, but we weren't ready to get in.  You see, it never fails...the sun went behind lots of clouds and it began to cool down quickly.  At first, I got into the water to help Emma get into her floaties and to put Mason is his floaty.  I was so cold that I had goosebumps, but couldn't show to Emma just how cold I was or else she wouldn't get it.  She got in and played and played and played, but Mason, on the other hand, couldn't stand the cold water and sat on the edge with Michael.  I continued to play with Emma in the freezing water until the next swim break.  At that time, we decided that once we get out, we will be too cold to want to get back in...and that was true!  Maybe we will have warmer weather to get back in the pool before summer is officially over...
