Another Trip To The Zoo

We had most of our things together last night, as we knew we wanted to get to the zoo early.  With our car packed, we flew to the zoo to get one of the last parking spots there.  This time at the zoo, we went to see other areas and animals that we haven't seen yet.  We saw the prairie dogs, cheetahs, zebras; and then we saw some of the same animals we always see, the barn animals, lions/tigers, monkeys. We packed our lunch (carrots and peppers with hummus, chicken salad and crackers, applesauce, almonds, and cheese sticks) and enjoyed eating it across from the elephant house.  It might not have been the ideal spot to sit, but we enjoyed it!  Then we were ready to get some frozen yogurt across the street from the entrance and head back inside for more animals!

The prairie dogs are finally out!

Petting the prairie dog statues.

Give him a second and he is all smiles!

Looking at the lions and tigers.

 Mason's turn to look too!

Who doesn't like getting a little wet at the zoo?!?

Watching the orangutans cross the O Line right above us!

Making sure we were still with her.

Our family minus Mason (he was sleeping in the stroller).

Looking at the cheetahs.

Trying to get a peek at the animals.

 The National Zoo (front entrance)

Mason fell asleep right before it was our turn to take a picture.

Happy girl waiting for her turn to take a picture.

Climbing around the rock seating area.

Emma did it!

Riding on a sloth bear, not like the one that threw an orange at us.

 Emma fell asleep.

 And so did Mason.

Mason woke up a happy boy.

 Trying to pet the goats.

Determined to get inside with the cows.
