With the forecast still cloudy and rain expected this afternoon, we decided to explore a new park close by the house. Looking it up online, there appears to be a lot of sports fields, a skate park, a big playground, and walking paths close by the water. Emma loves to go to any playground so I'm sure she would love to explore one more!
Emma likes to think she is bigger than she really is. For example, she loves to play on the playgrounds that are intended for kids 5 to 12 years old, sometimes playing on the ones that are intended for her age group. I think she likes the challenge of trying something new and a little more difficult. And it never fails, if there is a swing there, Emma will find it!
After the excitement wore off of the new playground, we decided to lather up in bug spray and hit the walking paths. We didn't exactly know where they would take us, and the locations for where maps should be on the walking paths didn't have anything in them. So we were on our own to explore!

What a big helper!
Exploring the new playground with Daddy.
Look at the determination on her face!
Emma loves to drive, drive, drive.
Look at the size of this slide!
A little bumpy ride, but Emma liked it.
Onto something else.
Showing Daddy Emma can do it all by herself.
Ready, set, go!
Going to explore the playground for younger kids.
And she found another wheel.
Going through the tunnel.
Mason relaxing in the swing.
Emma wanted Daddy to crank her higher and higher.
They would be here for hours, if we let them.
Keeping an eye on his sister.
Stare down.
There's a little smile from the little guy.
Going high in the sky.
Emma wanted Daddy to keep pushing her higher and higher!
Someone was a little too relaxed.
Ready to go on our nature walk.
Keeping an eye out for some critters.
Leading the way.
Are you guys coming?
We are going on an adventure, to see what we can see.
Emma using her binoculars to spot out things.
Pretty flowers.
Coming up to a gated bridge.
Looking out into the waters to find turtles. Lots and lots of turtles out there!
Giving us a heart attack every time she got close to the edge.
Me and my silly little lady.
Trying to find frogs in there, but we couldn't find any.
My little explorer.
More pictures of the wildlife:
Crossing over another bridge.
We stopped to look at a blue lizard, but couldn't get a picture of it because it got away,
much like this lady was trying to do!
And more pictures of nature and how peaceful it was being there:
The name brought back some memories of home.
