Emma has been doing really good about going into her bed at night and sleeping throughout the night all in her bed; so we decided that we should take her to the toy store to pick out something. While we were there for what seemed to be like hours, the pure joy and excitement on her face of being able to pick out just one thing all by herself was priceless! I already had my mind made that we were going to try a matching game, so she could pick whatever else she wanted. She decided on the Doc Matching game, the Doc puzzles, and Dora and Diego bubbles. Now that we have rewarded her for her good behavior, maybe she will catch on with the potty chart and prizes that come along with that.
While at the store, Michael thought it would be a good idea to begin a family game night. We still had a little running around to do before heading home. As the night quickly got away from us, we realized that we still hadn't eaten dinner. What better food to have with a game night other than chocolate pasta and mint moose track ice cream! It surely isn't a thing we normally do, but it was good to do something different and Emma really liked it! Now on to teaching Emma the game of Matching!
Our dinner and game for the evening.
Emma is sneaky, but she sure does love her sweets!
Chocolate pasta and mint moose track ice cream.
Emma trying her dinner/dessert.
Where is everybody?
Sharing with Daddy, who wasn't too excited about the pasta.
Mason and Cali trying to sneak over.
Yummy dinner!
Popping out the matching tiles.
Sometimes it's more fun to play with the trash parts.
Our revised method of playing, which worked pretty good for Emma.
But in no time, Emma found the trash parts again.
I think she really liked the Matching game.
Having Cali verify that they are matches.
Finding the last couple matches.
Which one are you missing Emma?
Cali patiently waiting.
There it is over there!
Is this it Cali?
Hmmm, is there one over here?
Got it!
Yep! Looking good Emma!
Still finding all kinds of matches.
Then she was the Emma Monster on her knees.
Looking for matches to put back in the box.
Hmmm, where is it?
There it is way over there!
Keep reaching.
Got it and put it in the box.
Now if we could only build the Doc puzzles tonight; tomorrow we will!
